MEET THE NEW STUDENT LEADERSHIP OFFICIAL
The Islamic University of Kenya recently held elections for officials of its Students Association (IUKSA). The closely contested election, which attracted three coalitions, took place on March 8, 2024. Mr. Binayamin Salat led the Comrade Solidarity Coalition to victory, defeating Student Voice United led by Mr. Jimale Duale in second place and Student Unity Party led by Mr. Musa Bwonyo in third.
The victorious election was followed by a swearing-in ceremony on March 11th and 12th, legally granting the Binayamin Salat-led team the mandate to represent students in the IUKSA.
The New Student President administration succeeds the team led by President Bishar Osman Abdirahman that held the office from March 2022.
Until March 2025, the following students will serve as representatives in the relevant dockets:
