Academic Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or Management
• Professional HR certification (e.g. IHRM, CHRP, SHRM, CIPD) is highly desirable
• Knowledge of labour laws and employment regulations (e.g. Employment Act, Labour Relations Act)

Communication And Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prepare professional HR correspondence (memos, warnings, contracts)
• Strong negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
Work Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Human Resource Management
• At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory HR role
• Experience in an educational institution or faith-based organization is an added advantage
Legal Knowlede
• Thorough understanding of employment and labour laws
• Ability to ensure institutional compliance with statutory requirements
• Experience handling disciplinary cases in line with both law and institutional policies
Leadership Management Skills
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Ability to advise senior management and the Vice Chancellor/CEO
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability
• Capacity to handle sensitive issues professionally and discreetly
Technical Admin Skills
• Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS)
• Good command of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to maintain accurate staff records and reports
