On 28th October, the Islamic University of Kenya (IUK) proudly joined the global community in raising awareness about bone health, reaffirming its commitment to student well-being and preventive healthcare education.
The event focused on educating participants about osteoporosis, highlighting its causes, symptoms, and effective preventive measures. Through interactive and engaging health sessions, students were empowered with knowledge and encouraged to take an active role in safeguarding their long-term health.
A key highlight of the day was a wellness walk involving female students, which emphasized the importance of physical activity in maintaining strong bones and overall fitness. The activity not only promoted healthy lifestyles but also fostered unity and positive energy among participants.
The initiative marked a meaningful step toward building awareness, inspiring healthy habits, and nurturing a health-conscious university community—a day dedicated to knowledge, wellness, and collective responsibility for better health.
